Fete Select TV Introduces PIE!

Wednesday, May 28, 2008

I recently had a chance to visit the new specialty cafe called PIE. Located at 615 N. State St. downtown Chicago, PIE specializes in what else? homemade pies. They have seven different flavors each season that includes, strawberry ruhbarb, Mississippi mud, banana cream and apple cranberry to name a few. PIE allows customers to take home large or individual mini pies, as well as quiche and cookie bars. Their macarons are gluten free and comes in three different flavors, chocolate, coconut and parisian. PIE will be a great place to hang out this summer as it boasts a coffee shop and a beautiful 5000 square foot garden. Take an inside look at PIE by watching our Fete Select TV segment.

ZED 451... Just Another Upscale Brazilian Steakhouse?

Wednesday, May 7, 2008

Do we have enough of these all-you-can eat Brazilian steakhouses in the city or is ZED 451 different? I had a chance to attend their pre-grand opening a couple of weeks a go and had a great time. I revisited this past Sunday and enjoyed cocktails on their rooftop deck. However, I'm not sure if the dining experience at ZED 451, located at 739 N. Clark St. downtown Chicago, will be any different than the others that populate the city.

I think the main difference of this steakhouse is their layout of the space, which is enormous and unique. The rooftop deck may be a hot popular hang out this summer to enjoy cocktails and appetizers. I'll soon return to officially partake in their dining experience.
